For people who have suffered from the condition known as acne, they can openly admit that it’s pretty frustrating to deal with. It can cause some bit of pain on their skin, especially when it becomes inflamed.

When there’s an excess of sebum, along with dead skin cells, the pores of the skin will become clogged, thus forming zits, pimples and blackheads. It’s something which can make people insecure about their faces, since it has become quite a priority for people to do their best to look good.

Simply put, acne is a great way to ruin one’s day. It’s because of this reason that people have sought out methods to alleviating the stress that this skin condition brings.

Quenching Thirst while Worsening Skin Quality

Many individuals deal with acne all their life, from their teenage years up to the time they become full grown adults. Yes, acne is something which even 30 or 40 year olds can experience, especially with stress causing all sorts of chemical imbalances in their bodies.

However, drinking the wrong kind of beverage can also aggravate the situation further. In fact, there are many drinks that people consume regularly without realizing the fact that these can worsen their condition.

Different Beverages that Acne Sufferers Must Avoid

Below are just 4 beverages which people should avoid at all costs if they’re suffering from acne breakouts constantly.

  1. Soda has long been believed to be a non-factor in the breakout of acne. However, there’s something in sodas which can lead the body to dehydrate, despite them being thirst quenchers. Dehydration, in turn, will lead to the development of pimples. Caffeine is an ingredient in these beverages which can make things even worse.
  2. Some people tend to drink coffee in the morning, or even lots of it just to keep themselves mentally and physically alert. However, coffee also contains caffeine, and can lead to breakouts. One has to significantly reduce the amount of caffeine consumption in order to avoid getting pimples on his or her face.
  3. It sure is nice to party over the weekends and just drink some alcoholic beverages for some proper unwinding with buddies. However, alcohol also leads to dehydration. A lot of people often engage in binge drinking, and they would often notice their skin being scattered with a lot of pimples due to dehydration.
  4. At times, people substitute coffee for energy drinks. What they don’t realize is that, apart from the copious amounts of caffeine, it can also cause the body to dehydrate. It also contains a lot of artificial sugars which would cause all sorts of imbalances.

Now that these four drinks have been cited as acne triggers, it would be best for a person to eliminate them from his or her diet. In fact, it would be best to quench one’s thirst with 8 glasses of water every day.

Since water can cleanse the body of toxins, there will be a significant change in a person’s complexion.
