Learning from People
One World One People - Students interview friends, family and other children around the world and report on how their lives are different and what they have in common.
A Day in the Life - There are fascinating people in every community, from whom we can learn. Children find out about the lives of local people. They report on their everyday work, leisure and their adventures - to build an archive of occupations and learn about real-life careers.
Early Childhood Memories - What memories stay with us and affect our lives? SchoolNet Students interview people of their parents' and grandparents' generations. They find out what life was like when these people were young.

Understanding Community
Magic Moments - SchoolNet Students interview people in their local communities to find out how their lives have been affected by national or local events.
The Games People Play - SchoolNet Students interview people of their parents' and grandparents' generations, to find out what games they played in the school playground, and compare them with today's games.

Appreciating Places
Our Guide to the World - SchoolNet Students explore their favourite local places and build an online guide to the world, in words and pictures. Our Guide to the World is by young people and for young people.
My Environment - SchoolNet Students report on what pleases and concerns them about their local environment and how they would like to change it, taking their own practical action where possible. They also find out how their parents' and grandparents' generation feel about their neighbourhoods.

Developing Creativity
1001 Things to Do - Children learn a great deal from their own interests, especially when allowed to teach their secrets to others. SchoolNet Students share their own home and school interests with others.
New Authors - SchoolNet Students write about how an author inspired them to write, and create a song, poem, story or play in the style of their favourite author.
New Artists - SchoolNet Students were invited to create a work of art in any visual medium to express their feelings about life in the new millennium.

Designing the Future
Life in the Future - The future is a place we can all invent for ourselves. SchoolNet Students write about their dreams, hopes and concerns for their own lives in the future and how they will achieve the future they want.
New Inventions - How can we creatively apply science and technology to solve lifestyle and environmental problems? SchoolNet Students' become inventors and their ideas range from fanciful fun designs to sophisticated practical inventions.
