Think Global and Get Involved in the Global Learning Communities
|
Kids - do you want to join other children around the world to discuss important global issues? Do you want to write about current affairs and get your news published in an international journal?
Teachers - would you like to join a global community of teachers bringing practical global education into primary and secondary schools?
If the answer to any of these questions is "YES", then visit Global Learning Communities. It's a website for children and teachers who want to learn how to "think globally."
Global Learning Communities is run by a growing group of school teachers who support each other in delivering a global curriculum to schools. Schools publish details of their international collaborative projects on the GLC website and meet at monthly online staff meetings to discuss their ideas. The community aims to promote global thinking by helping learners:
- to become self-motivated,
- to learn in collaboration with others both within their communities and globally,
- to feel empowered to shape the best future for everybody around the world.
