Hannah interviews Particia on her work with the homeless
A fold up bed, by Ollie, 11, West Yorkshire UK
I would like to make the world a better place by inventing a fold up bed for the Homeless. Where it would fold up like a Briefcase and make the homeless sleep better. My second one is a food-making machine that produces food for the local villages so they can come and get as much as they want for nothing and it can be any type of food. My third idea is a machine to pick up litter without any one driving it. It is to help the local people to live a better way

Joseph says, "I would invent a little pop up tent for the poor people who cannot afford to have a flat. They are made with cheep materials and something soft to lie inside. It can all fit into a little rucksack but it only costs £3.00 to make. There would be different fund raising events to raise money to give them away to the poor in all different countries as well as England.

Litter, by Toby and Asley, Folkestone, UK
Litter is a bad problem in some parts of England, because we have to walk on the streets where there is litter. We don't like to walk all over it. We don't think that there are enough litter bins around for the amount of litter that there is about. Rats eat from the dropped litter on the streets so we have to work to put it in the bins. The bin men find it very difficult when the litter isnot in black bin bags. Dropped litter is also dangerous to young children and the eldery for it if rains the litter can become very slippery and accidents happen. As children, perhaps we can set an example by making sure we put our litter in the bins, otherwise our world will become a horrible place in which to live.

David will recycle waste on his Spaceship Earth
Long-Range Spacecraft, by Peter, 12, West Yorkshire UK
I would invent this spacecraft so that ordinary people could go into space and so that people could go and see mars, Saturn and all the others. And may be even go to planets from different solar systems may be even to go to different galaxies. That is how my invention could help the world.

People Litter too Much, by Danielle, Victoria, Canada
I believe that many people litter too much and that it could be a much cleaner place without garbage everywhere you look. And there is so much vandalism, it needs to be stopped...soon. So every time you are walking and you see a bottle and you have something to pick it up with that won't contaminate your hands take it and throw it in the recycle. Also try to organize a cleaning day with your school or friends and go out around the city and pick up garbage. Or in my school we have a day called "Heathly Schools Day" so you could talk to your principal and arrange for that and go around and pick up garbage for say an afternoon.

Susan has invented a money doubler for the poor
A Childs pocket teacher. by Hannah, 12, West Yorkshire UK
I thought this would be good because children in 3rd world countries whose parents can't afford to take their kids to school. It looks like a calculator but it has a camera on the back to take pitchers things you don't know what they are and it will tell you. It also has fun activities in every subject to help you learn.

Jemma's Nan used an air-raid shelter in the Second World War
An underground bomb shelter, by Hannah, 12, West Yorkshire UK
I thought this would be a good idea because there are so many people getting killed in wars for no reason. You have them in each country, it depends how big the country is for how many you have. The idea is to have a very large room under ground with a metal roof and a bombproof door. The room will have plenty of food and lots of beds.

Laura gives her views on pollution
Saving the Ozoen, by Jack, 11, West Yorkshire UK.
I want to invent something that takes in Carbon Dioxide and gives out Oxygen. This will save the ozoen layer and that will save the polar ice caps in Antarctica and that will save the animals that are only found in Antarctica like for example the Penguin.
The estimated cost will be £10,000000.
