At the heart of SchoolNet Global are the highly motivating Global Curriculum Projects, which encourage children to work at home and school, collaboratively, under the sympathetic leadership of their teachers, with help from their parents, and the 5 Steps to Cyberspace.
They write creatively about their own lives, their homes, their interests, their wild ideas, hopes and dreams and how they will make the world a better place.
They interview friends, neighbours, parents and grandparents and capture the oral history of families and communities throughout thousands of villages and towns around the world. They might talk to older people to find out their "Earliest Childhood Memories", or meet people in a variety of roles to find out about "A Day in the Life".
They can choose between 12 projects, all designed to help children build respect for themselves, their families, their communities and enhance their understanding of people of other generations, backgrounds and cultures - whether they live around the world or around the corner.
The pages in this section include Teachers Guides on how to initiate each project in the classroom.
Visit our Research pages to read educators' stories about how they use SchoolNet Global and find out more about the benefits of being involved.
