What is your name? Helen Lamplough What is your age? 12 Years Gender? female Write about the most memorable journey you ever made or place you ever visited. A trip to yellowstone park!! When I was 8 I went to Yellowstone Park with my family for a holiday. When we were there we stayed in a hotel near all faithful the famous geyser. My cousins were also staying in Yellowstone at the same time so we went to supper with them by a volcanic lake. My sister kept winding me up by telling me that it was due to erupt that evening and we were all going to die. I was so scared that I burst into tears!!! After supper we arranged to go white water rafting together and went back to the hotel. The next morning we met up with our guide called Kurt and he took us on a guide of the park. We visited the petrified tree and then he took us on a wildlife walk where we saw lots of buffaloes, kyotes, moose and lots and lots of bears! In the afternoon we went to see all the geysers and mud pots. They were amazing! There were about 10 geysers and they all erupted frequently! That evening we went to a cook out at Old Faithful outside the hotel followed by a slide show of bears. The following morning we met up with my cousins again to go white water rafting. It was a day trip and we were going to stop of at a wood for lunch. There were 2 boats of us going and we all had to paddle hard against the current. I was only a child so I was not allowed to paddle in case the current pulled me in. Instead I sat in the middle. It was really good fun especially when I thought that I had fallen in the water. It was my second time as I had already white water rafted that holiday on a slightly less strong river. At the end of the trip we drove back to Yellowstone and got ready for supper.
