Our favourite piece of writing. April Fool by Hal Summers Why I like April Fool. I like the verse in which he says, ''The rain comes down like a pilot fish, The lightning bit like sharks. The grass rushed out of doors to see, All over the green parks.'' I also like the way it rhymes. The sun comes out, I spring out of bed like a daffodil opening. I fly down the stairs like a gust of wind. I pour my milk like flower seeds sailing around the green field. I run out and see the green grass. I see daisies poppijng their heads out of the moist ground. I can see the birds singing and flying all around. Spring is when the animals are being born. The bees are flying and it's getting warm.
