Our favourite piece of writing. April Fool by Hal Summers Why I like April Fool. I like the rhymes used by the author and the pattern and rhythm is good. Daffodils, sunflowers, daisies too, Dry grass is getting rid of all its dew. Trees are growing and so is grass Take a look if you happen to pass. Vegetables are growing from underground, For a seed would you give a pound? Every tree is getting so strong, And the days will be getting rather long. Animals now are being born, Like a king, checkmated by a pawn. Did you know the clocks go back, And on the trees the woodpeckers go crack.
