As you know there is a strong debate about GM foods. Some people are calling it frankinstein foodand think it is a great danger to our health. Others such as yourselves (Tony Blair) are backing it up. I personally am against it as I have done some research and found many risks.e.g.For one thing we don't know the long term effects that it may have. Secondly they have not been tested enough to show any dangers. Another reason is that they are not labelled in the supermarkets and we are being used as Gineau pigs to try out your new foods. "There is no need to interfere with nature" said W.Johnson from St.Mary's court, Middleton. The last reason I found was that the GM crops could easily spread to organicly grown crops even if they were a few fields apart.
But as this is a two sided argument I should mention the people who want GM foods. I have also done some research on the good points and found these facts:GM crops are able to grow in poor soil so if they were planted in places like Bosnia they could wipeout poverty and hunger.
I still keep my view on GM foods but its not just me that has a point of view, the rest of the country does aswell. So listen to the people.
Yours Faithfully
Miss.A.Belton
