My story or poem about the person interviewed
Prisoners’ Party The things that my dad remembers most about his early childhood Christmases are, his dad making the turkey and while it was cooking, dad, his dad and his big sister all going out for a walk. The other thing that he remembers is always getting up early to see if Santa had been and finding all the presents in the living room on the table. My dad’s earliest Christmas memory was, when he was about four, he went to a party that was held by German Prisoners Of War. The thing that he remembered about that party was that all the presents were made out of scrap wood, metal and anything else that they could get their hands on. The Prisoners Of War had made the presents themselves. The costume that the Santa was wearing was sacks dyed red by the Prisoners. My dad got a butterfly made out of metal and when you rolled it along the ground it flapped its wings. His little sister got a little dog and his friend got a model boat.
