David Blunkett's early childhood memory: My earliest childhood memory is of being in hospital at the Royal Infirmary about my eye sight. At that time they were trying to sort out the problem with my eyes. About David Blunkett's early childhood memory: Mr. Blunkett said, "I went to school in Sheffield. I enjoyed most of it and my favourite subject was History. My school was not modern at all. We had an outside toilet and the outside building roof leaked (Just like my school). I now keep in touch with 3 or 4 of my old school friends. I phone them at least once a year. I never tell people my nickname but for a change I will tell you. It was Plug I never knew why they called me that! I was born on the 6th of June 1947". David Blunkett is 51 years old years old now and was 3 years old at the time.
