A Little Bit of Canada

Jewels is 11 years old and shares their feelings and thoughts about the country in which they live. My country I live in Canada, British Columbia, Victoria. BC is the most western province of Canada. Victoria is the capital city of BC. Victoria is on Vancouver Island which is the most southern part of BC. Things I like about living in this country: The first thing I like about Canada is our freedom. If we didn't have the freedom we have now we would be a totally different country. What I mean by that is most people would like to live somewhere else. The second thing I like about Canada is we have a democratic government. If we didn't live in a democratic country we wouldn't want to live here. The third thing I like about Canada is their multiculturalism. The thing I like about multiculturalism is that we treat people the same way. Some natural features of this country: The first thing I like about Canada is its wildlife. Also, they are beautiful animals. The second thing about Canada's natural features is its forests. The reason I like them is because they are a place that you can go and just enjoy Canada in a peaceful way. The third thing would be the lakes and rivers because they provide us with fresh water that some countries don't have. Also the rivers help everything survive. Some things have changed since I was born The things that have changed in Canada while I have been alive are people have died, people have been born, buildings have been knocked down and new ones have gone up. Also we have made the world worse than it used to be, but the biggest change is there are people in Canada wanting to help make the world a better place to live. If you came to visit me, I would take you to 2 interesting places. Somewhere near where I live and somewhere in a different part of our country. If a friend came to Canada I would take them to Butchart Gardens, because it's a important part of my life and there is a little bit of history to it. The second place that I would take them outside of BC is Banff. The reason I would take them there is because it shows the beauty of Canadian nature. What I could do to make this country a better place for everyone When I'm older in my country I would help the needy, prevent pollution and do anything else I can do, but most of all BE THE BEST I CAN BE!!!!!!
